Kyle Hamlett Artist Statement: "When Luke asked me about collaborating on some instrumental music, I was in the midst of trying to wrangle a circular DADGAD riff into shape. While I'm usually fairly quick to find a vocal melody or a cryptic lyric to top a composition, this one seemed to want to remain wordless. I knew Luke could work some strange magic with the harp-like overtones that are so prevalent to the DADGAD tuning, so I suggested we try this piece. The song's title alludes to my having recently been turned on to the amazing work of Ithell Colquhoun, a British surrealist and occultist with Celtic proclivities... and the DADGAD tuning being often referred to as 'the Celtic tuning' (made most known by British guitarist Davy Graham), it seemed like a fun idea and the perfect opportunity to invoke the hand of Ithell."
